Olga Mikhaleva

Olga Mikhaleva (*Vitebsk, Belarus) studied music pedagogy at the music college of her hometown. She completed her studies at the Minsk State Academy of Music in the subjects button accordion (Prof. Nikolaj Sevrjukov), orchestral conducting (Prof. Gennadi Provatorov) and music pedagogy with a master's degree in 2000. Already during her studies she conducted performances with the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, the oenm, the Philharmonic Orchestra Bad Reichenhall and the Brucknerorchester Linz.
After two years of teaching at the Music Education University in Vitebsk and at the School of Arts, she moved to Austria to continue her studies in orchestral conducting with Prof. Dennis Russell Davies and choral conducting with Prof. Karl Kamper at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. She also took courses with Neil Thomson and Peter Gülke. She is particularly interested in working with amateurs such as the Braunau Symphony Orchestra, the Burghausen Chamber Orchestra, the Salzburg Mozart Choir, the Mattighofen Project Choir and Orchestra, as well as male and mixed choirs in the Salzburg and Upper Austria area. In addition, she gained further musical experience in the choir direction of the Vienna State Opera and works regularly with the Gustav Mahler Choir Vienna and the Slovak Philharmonic Choir Bratislava. In spring 2015 she was invited to Paris as an assistant for a production with the Choeur de Radio France.

Since 2013 she has been a lecturer in solfeggio and ear training at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
