Sabina Hank, born in Salzburg in 1976, was accepted at the Mozarteum University Salzburg at the age of five, where she was trained on the piano for 13 years. After completing her classical career, she studied jazz singing and jazz piano at the Bruckner University in Linz. She didn’t finish her studies in order to concentrate on a career as a freelance musician. She collaboratedd with Willi Resetarits, Josef Hader, Bob Mintzer, Benjamin Schmid, Hubert von Goisern, Werner Pirchner, Maria Schneider, the Strottern and Harry Ahamer. She won numerous awards such as the “Salzburg Prize” of the City of Salzburg 2016, the “Akademia Music Award” 2016 (Los Angeles, USA), best artist “Jazz national” 2004 (Concerto Poll), she was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award 2010 etc. She composed for the Theater an der Josefstadt, Volkstheater Vienna, Salzburg State Theater, Schauspielhaus Bochum, ORF, 3sat and many more. Since 2010 she has been working as a teaching at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and published 11 recordings and appeared at international jazz festivals in Mexico City, New York , Washington, Paris, Copenhagen, Istanbul, Beijing, Morocco and much more.
