Silke Geppert is a curator for fashion, arthistorian, fashion designer and illustrator. Born and raised up in Lübeck (Germany). Trained as a bookseller and publisher for artbooks she has launched an art book publisher in London and curated also exhibitions in London. Afterwords she studied fashion- and arthistory in Vienna. PhD on Fashion in the Medieval period (2011_ Mode unter dem Kreuz. Kleiderkommunikation im Christlichen Kult). From 2001 – 2004 Director of the Museum Ahrensburg (D).
 
Since 2017 Silke Geppert is the curator for fashion, textile and carpets at the MAK (Museum of Applied Arts) in Vienna. Before she was an assistant at the Fashion and Textile Department, University of Paderborn 2013–2017. Lecturer for Fashion theory and fashion history at the University of Applied Arts Pforzheim (Germany), and lecturer for vestimental arthistory at the Karl-Franzens Universität Graz and University of Salzburg. Curator at the Salzburg Dom Museum. 
 
Research on Fashion and Stage Costume, Fashion and Film, Fashion and Religion, Burgundian Fashion, Textile History and contemporary Textile Design and Art. Member of the HRSM Research Project: Austrian Center for Fashion Research
