Werner Lemberg was born in Vienna in 1968 and studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. From 1991 he was a solo repetiteur with conducting duties at various theaters in Austria and Germany (Vienna State Opera, German Opera on the Rhine, Aalto Theatre Essen, and others). From 2001 to 2010 he was head of the music department of the Municipal Theatre of Koblenz, Germany. Since 2012 he is working as an assistant to Maksimilijan Cenčić (classes for opera repertoire and conducting) at the Prayner Conservatory in Vienna. He gives chamber music concerts with soloists of the Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonie and also performs numerous of his own compositions in Germany and abroad. At the Mozarteum University Salzburg he teaches score playing, general bass, repetition and improvisation.
