Marco Döttlinger, Austrian composer and sound artist, studied theory of music and composition as well as computer music in Salzburg, Paris and Basle with, among others, Christian Ofenbauer, Frederic Durieux and Georg Friedrich Haas. He is a member of NAMES – New Art and Music Ensemble Salzburg.

The main strands of his work as an artist are related to the integration of computer-aided procedures in the area of contemporary (sound) art or time-based arts. His instrumental talk compositions, computer music, electro-acoustic music and sound installations often deal with the subject of micro-time alterations at the meeting point between stasis and movement.

He has been awarded various prizes, fellowships and awards, including the state scholarship for composition from the Federal Ministry, the annual music scholarship of the Land Salzburg and the Federal Ministry stART scholarship. His work is exhibited at festivals at home and abroad.

Marco Döttlinger has been working at the Mozarteum since 2012.
