Nadejda Rubanenko was born in St. Petersburg in 1963. She studied with Mariana Wolf and Anatol Ugorski at the St. Petersburg University of Music. She graduated with honors. From 1988 to 1990 she was an assistant at Anatol Ugorski. In 1990 she came to the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where she studied with Hans Leygraf. In 1991 she won the 2nd prize at the International Piano Competition in Bremen. Between 1996 and 1998 she recorded five CDs with Arte Nova BMG with works by Schubert, Schumann and Brahmsein. Since 1991 she has been working as a repetiteuse and lecturer in piano as a compulsory subject at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
