Erwin Neubacher was born in Salzburg in 1965 and studied arts and crafts at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He has been working as a works teacher in Salzburg since completing the teaching examination. From 2001 to 2009 he was a lecturer for didactic supervision of the course for teaching interns for the subject "Technical Work" in Salzburg. Since 2008 he has been involved in the development and management of the school-autonomous upper-level work subject "Design-Architecture-Technology" at the WRG Salzburg. From 2013 to 2014 he was a lecturer at the University of Teacher Education Salzburg in the new joint teacher training course for TTW (subject didactics). He is a co-founder of the association "Architecture-Technology and School", the Austrian Society for Didactics and the Federal Working Group for Technical and Textile Works of the Ministry of Education. Since 2005, he has been involved in the organization and implementation of conferences and training events, as a lecturer and reviewer and has written articles for journals. Since 1998 he has been a lecturer at the Mozarteum University Salzburg in the didactic theory of teaching handicrafts.
