Arno Haselsteiner started playing drums at the age of three and was taught at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich at the age of seven and then at the State University of Music in Trossingen with Hermann Gschwendtner. He was the youngest member of the Federal Youth Orchestra and the European Youth Orchestra and won numerous prizes such the 1st Prize at Jugend musiziert. As a drummer he performed with the radio symphony orchestra SDR in Stuttgart. He also played with the BR Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic, the Radio Symphony Orchestra Kaiserslautern SWF and at the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz. He currently performs live or as a studio and tour drummer, playing jazz, Latin, pop, world music, funk and fusion. He has worked with national and international artists, orchestras and bands, including Max Greger, Hugo Strasser, Roland Baker, Ambros Seelos, Yehudi Menuhin, Maurizio Polini, Harald Genzmer, Anna Maria Kaufmann, Marlene Charell, Karel Gott, Roberto Blanco, Tom Jones, Jonny Logan, Matthew Garrison, Thorsten de Winkl, Allan Harris and Boby Shew.
