Christine Augustin (mezzo-soprano) studied at the University Mozarteum Salzburg, at the Bruckner University Linz, as well as at the Paris-Lodron University in Salzburg. For many years she took part in several vocal ensembles (Collegium Vocale, Quattrofonisten, Leiturgia) which performed especially Old Music. She finally found her own personal form of expression singing French and German chansons, which to this day form a fixed part of her repertoire. She has sung in various theatre productions among them programmes of chansons: "Hommage à Barbara", "Voyage à Paris", "Der Lauf der Dinge", "Wenn ich mir was wünschen dürfte ..."

For many years she also has interpreted works of contemporary composers as Wolfgang Roscher, Klemens Vereno, Johannes Kotschy, Alfred Peschek, Andreas Neubauer, Thomas Hauschka, Thierry Zaboitzeff, giving concerts and making CDs. Different performances were recorded for radio. Christine Augustin has given concerts internationally (among them in Vienna, Munich, Bonn, Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Darmstadt, Bad Hersfeld). Her current repertoire includes Classical Songs, Musicals, Gospel Music, Chansons and Music of the 20th Centuries.

Since 1995 Christine Augustin has taught singing at the University Mozarteum. She also sings and teaches at the Schauspielhaus Salzburg.
