Mari Ota received her pianistic training at the Mozarteum University Salzburg from Karl-Heinz Kämmerling (concert subject) and from Alfons Kontarsky (piano chamber music). As a soloist and chamber musician, she has given concerts in Japan and Europe and has recorded several CDs, like Concert for two pianos and Concert for three pianos by W. A. ​​Mozart with Cyprien Katsaris. Since 2009 she has been working as a pianist for the Salzburg Bach Choir. She works as an accompanist at the Salzburg Festival and at the Mozart Week Salzburg with conductors and others such as Ivor Bolton, Alois Glaßner, Hans Graf, Ingo Metzmacher, Riccardo Minasi, Marc Minkowski, Claudio Scimone, Trevor Pinnock. She has been teaching as an assistant to Prof. Gereon Kleiner at the Mozarteum University Salzburg since 2018.
