Lecturer in Pedagogical Studies Violin, Viola and Chamber Music

Christos Kanettis, obtained concert diplomas at the Athens Conservatory, the Vienna University of Music and the "Postgraduate Diploma" at the New York "Juilliard School of Music", where he studied in the master classes of Dorothy DeLay, Felix Galimir and THE JUILLIARD QUARTET.

Among his mentors are musical personalities such as Sandor Vegh and Ferenc Rados.

International concert activity as soloist and chamber musician; numerous world premieres (e.g. by David Druckman, Nikolas Roussakis, Sebastian Currier, Paul Engel). He held master classes in Europe, the USA and Mexico. Television, radio and CD recordings for Bayerischer Rundfunk, WQXR "The listening room", New York and WNYC "Around New York".

After nine years teaching in the USA, since 1995 lecturer for violin at the University Mozarteum and since 1996 head of a training class for violin, viola & string chamber music at the Landeskonservatorium, Innsbruck.

In 2014 he founded the international string initiative STRINGS IN MOTION under the patronage of the Euregio (Tyrol, South Tyrol, Trentino) and several Austrian embassies.
With this artistic, pedagogical project he also started cooperations with Mexico and the Ukraine.
