He ist recognized today throughout the world as a keyboard instrument specialist, his many broadcasts and recordings having won him wide critical acclaim. He gives concerts in the great concert halls and international festivals throughout
His performances of Liszt`s compositions have contributed greatly to the renaissance of this composer`s works and in recognition he was awarded the first Grand Prix du Disque of the Budapest Liszt Society. Other awards for his interpretations have included the prestigious Edison Prize and the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik. Further recordings of great repute include those of Bach, Widor and Vierne; organ concertos of Haydn, Händel and Saint-Saens; piano sonatas of Beethoven; and Johann Sebastian Bach`s Well-Tempered-Clavier on the clavichord, harpsichord, organ and fortepiano, recognized as an exemplary display of historic performance practice.
He occasionally holds seminars on topics which range from art of the Middle Ages to contemporary music.
