Transition to virtual learning(March 18, 2020)
Since March 15, 2020, the entire course of studies – including exam preparation – has been taking place in home learning due to the pandemic corona. - What is CISCO Webex?
CISCO Webex is a leading provider of video conferencing, instant messaging, file transfer and screen sharing. In order to make the conversion from classroom teaching to virtual teaching / distance learning / home learning / as easy as possible, the Mozarteum University Salzburg provides free access to CISCO Webex.
Where can I get access to CISCO Webex?
All teachers at the Mozarteum University Salzburg who have a course and an active account will automatically receive the access data for CISCO Webex to business email address. Attention: The mail comes directly from CISCO. If you cannot find an email in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folder. All students who need CISCO Webex access can contact our help desk at any time by email: email@example.com
What do I have to download to use CISCO Webex?
In order to be able to work with CISCO Webex as simply and easily as possible, we recommend installing two CISCO Webex app modules on the desktop and / or on the smartphone. The Webex Meeting module offers realistic communication regardless of location. With the module CISCO Webex Teams you can stay connected between meetings via virtual meeting rooms and use messaging, file sharing, whiteboarding and video calling functions.

How do you learn to work with CISCO Webex and other new formats?
New tools pose challenges for all of us! For this reason, a task force “New Teaching” will be set up, which will actively support the teachers and students of the Mozarteum University Salzburg in developing and implementing new formats, the use of digital media and opportunities for digital teaching. The contact person for assistance with the change of teaching is the head of the department for digital media Peter Schmidt (Peter.SCHMIDT@moz.ac.at, +43 676 88122382). Additional contact persons for the “New Teaching” task force will be announced in the next few days, best practice examples in dealing with new digital tools will be made available successively and will be available via email and on the website. How to: Tutorials for Webex Meeting und Webex Team
Participation in "Meetings" via Webex Meeting and Webex Teams is possible via any device (mobile device, tablet, laptop or video device): Teachers invite their students to courses via the apps by entering their email addresses. To participate, students only have to click on a link that will be sent to them by email.
