Katharina Teufel-Lieli studied at the Mozarteum University and played as a substitute in the Bruckner Orchestra at the age of 17. in 1995 she completed her concert studies with Edward Witsenburg and subsequently attended the master class in Würzburg with Giselle Herbert. She is regularly invited by major orchestras and renowned ensembles, including Klangforum Wien, Volksoper Wien and Tiroler Symphonie Orchester Innsbruck. Since 1996 she has been principal harpist of the Mozarteum Orchestra and the Salzburg Chamber Philharmonic. Solo concerts with orchestra have taken her to Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Japan and Switzerland. She is soloist of the Salzburg Fortress Concerts and member of the œnm - österreichisches ensemble für neue musik. Since 2009 she is teaching harp at the Mozarteum University.
