Antonello Farulli is one of the most industrious living Italian violist either in musical either didactic field.
Pupil of Piero Farulli, viola of the legendary Quartetto Italiano, he performed in the most important theatres of the world attending to important festivals, and has recorded for different labels such as the Dynamic, Tactus and Stradivarius.
His passionate teaching has taken him to Europe, Switzerland and the United States. He currently teaches at the School of Music in Fiesole, at the Accademia Pianistica in Imola and in the Conservatorio G.B. Martini in Bologna.
He is viola tutor in Mahler Jugend Orchestra Academy in Bozen and in the Academy Orchestra Mozart. He teached string quartet for about ten years at the prestigious Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia, preparing for the professional life several outstanding musicians including the Cuarteto Casals.
Now he is a member of the jury at several international competitions such as the Vittorio Gui Competition.
